Rental Policy & Procedure

Equipment Drop Off

 Equipment drop-off is during working hours only.

 If you need to contact us after hours, please call us and leave a message.  We
 will return your call as soon as possible.

Rental Procedure

  • ID required: A valid driver’s license with a current address is the minimum requirement for all rentals; credit card for security deposit is preferred.  Airdrie Rental Equipment staff reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who does not comply with the minimum ID requirements.
     
  •  Rates:  Rental rates on all  equipment are as posted  and are on the basis of time out, not by the job or time used.  We sell time.  Overnight rates apply to equipment rented 1 hour prior to closing and returned within 1 hour of opening the following day.  Special weekend rates apply to some items.  Please inquire about these rates at the time of rental.
     
  •  Reserving:  Some of the larger equipment can be reserved ahead of time, either in person or over the phone.  Information required is name, phone number, equipment required and time of pick-up.  Some items require a reservation deposit.  Some items are rented on a first come, first served basis at the discretion of rental personnel.
     
  •  Delivery:  Delivery is available for larger items depending on the loading/unloading conditions at the work site and the availability of staff.  A base fee is charged for delivery within Airdrie.  A mileage charge is added for delivery outside of Airdrie city limits.  A minimum half day rental fee is charged for delivered equipment.

Payment Terms

Accepted methods of payment are cash, debit, Visa, MC, Amex and Diner’s. Cheques are accepted with at least two pieces of ID (including one credit card) and at the discretion of rental personnel.

For non-charge account customers: Payment is due upon return of the equipment. Rentals beyond 30 days must be paid in full to continue the rental.

For charge account customers: Payment is due with 30 days of statement issue. 

Customer Responsibilities

  • Customer must contact us immediately if the equipment is not operating properly.
  • Customer or customer’s employees should be the only operators of the equipment.
  • Customer is responsible of the safety of themselves and/or personnel when operating the equipment.
  • Customer is responsible for any damage due to accidents, neglect, or operating equipment beyond its capacity.
  • Customer may be charged a cleaning fee at the discretion of rental personnel if the equipment is returned in a soiled condition.
  • 1st tank of  fuel is included in the rental fee for most equipment.  Subsequent fills are the responsibility of the customer.   The customer is responsible for the cost of the propane for any propane heater.  The customer is also responsible for returning generators and any diesel equipment, such as the Bobcat skidsteer or Mustang excavator with a full tank of fuel.
